The Manila Hotel's Champagne Room Joins Goût de France 2025

Say C’est délicieux! Goût de France returns in 2025, and The Manila Hotel’s iconic Champagne Room proudly joins this global celebration of French gastronomy.

Champagne Room of The Manila Hotel

Launched in 2015 by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Goût de France was created following UNESCO’s recognition of the “Gastronomic Meal of the French” as part of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The initiative seeks to showcase the excellence of French gastronomy and promote its values of conviviality, sustainability, and craftsmanship.

In honor of the occasion, the Champagne Room invites guests to indulge in an elegant 5-course set menu prepared by The Manila Hotel’s culinary team led by executive chef Konrad Walter. The special Goût de France menu features Puy Lentil Salad with Smoked Duck Breast, Three Onion Soup with Brie Croutons, Roast Rack of Lamb in Herb Crust Rosemary Garlic Jus, Gratin Potato, Market Vegetables, French Artisan Cheese, and Apple Tart with Frangipane. To complete the experience, the meal is complemented with French macarons and served with coffee or tea. Available from May 23 to June 1, 2025 for Php 4,980 per person.

Beyond the elegant confines of the Champagne Room, Goût de France festivities in Manila extend to the lively Makati Street Meet at Paseo de Roxas on May 24 and 25, where French culture and cuisine will take center stage. The Manila Hotel will also participate in the traditional Course de Garçons or waiters’ race on May 25, bringing a touch of Parisian flair to the city’s street.

Don’t miss this opportunity to savor the refined tastes of France at The Manila Hotel’s Champagne Room. For inquiries and reservations, call +632 8527 0011 or +632 55301 5500, or email restaurantrsvn@themanilahotel.com.

Where to celebrate Bastille Day tomorrow?

July 14 is a national holiday for the French and here in the Philippines, the Embassy of France in the Philippines invites everyone to celebrate with them through the gastronomic offerings of various restaurants in Manila in Cebu tomorrow.

10 participating restaurants will be offering special menus to highlight the best of French gastronomy in the Philippines, as well as other activities such as wine tasting. They are Brasserie Sagana (Bonifacio Global City, Taguig), Café Fleur (Poblacion, Makati City), Bistro Vincent by Dr. Wine (Makati City), The Bistro by Element Boutique Hotel (Poblacion, Makati City), L’Entrecôte Manila (Bonifacio Global City, Taguig), L’Epicerie Gourmande (Alabang, Muntinlupa), Metronome (Makati City), Miréio at Raffles (Makati City), Society Lounge (Makati City), Spiral Manila by Sofitel Philippine Plaza (Pasay City), and La Vie Parisienne (Cebu City). Check out some of the menu below:

Cafe Fleur

L'Entrecote

La Vie Parisienne

Metronome

Sofitel Philippine Plaza

I personally would like to try the bottomless French wines in any of these restaurants and yes, the buffet! I'm also looking forward to new varieties of French macarons if any of these restaurants offer that.

The 14 Julliet celebration is of course following strict health protocols to ensure everyone's safety so there will be an advanced reservation required. You may register via https://bit.ly/BastilleDay2021PH. Bon appetit!
