THE CHICKEN RICE SHOP at CCP

we were just hungry after seeing a very beautiful concert by the Philippine Madrigal Singers at CCP (which is a must-see by the way). so we headed at the Harbour Square just across the complex and searched for something to eat. in an array of food choices, all we can see are chicken restaurants ready to peck out the hunger feeling in our stomach. from KFC to Mang Inasal, we ended up in The Chicken Rice Shop which is relatively new to us.
coming inside is very comfortable with its fast-food style ambiance and the friendly staff welcomed us dearly. it's read and yellow motif will definitely make you remember some other food chain, but not as close.
when it's time to order, we looked at the menu and found out that it's somehow pricey. ambiance didn't look that it is expensive. anyhow, we ordered Hainanese and roasted chicken meals. that is a combo with rice and soup. beverages will be ordered separately. but don't worry, waiting time isn't that too long if you have many people with you and there's a little crowd in the restaurant.
you may also notice their kitchen area is somehow visible from the dining area. guaranteed clean environment and production of the food you'll eat.
upon receiving the plates with our food in, a special presentation of Hainanese and roasted chicken garnished with thin cucumber slices were mouth-watering. even more when the rice came, smelling so good and tastes so right. but still, i think it's too pricey for such small serving of roasted chicken leg and Hainanese chicken thigh.
well i think getting more chicken shops in the metro will make a healthier competition. let's wait and see if their prices will go high or low with more similar businesses.

Prices:
Chicken Meals (Hainanese / Roasted) - Php 128
Iced Tea (Single serve / Bottomless) - Php 50 / 80

*VAT and service charge not included.

we saved a little because mom brought her senior citizen ID.
