A sweet visit to Marcelino Cafe in Manila Prince Hotel

Last Friday night was an immensely satisfying experience as I embarked on a culinary journey to a new destination in Manila. Nestled within the vibrant streets of Ermita lies the Manila Prince Hotel, a haven for hotel aficionados seeking a blend of exquisite cuisine and rich historical ambiance. I was fortunate to be selected as one of the discerning food critics to explore Marcelino Cafe, the hotel's all-day dining outlet, and I extend an invitation to you, dear reader, to partake in the pleasures of my culinary voyage.

As one steps through the doors of Manila Prince Hotel, they are greeted by a welcoming lobby that exudes warmth and comfort, setting the stage for an unforgettable dining experience. Marcelino Cafe, adorned with stained glass signage reminiscent of a bygone era, offers a cozy interior that transports guests to a simpler time.

Within Marcelino Cafe, a tantalizing array of intercontinental delicacies awaits exploration. From sumptuous Filipino classics to tantalizing Asian delights including Chinese, Korean, and Japanese cuisines, there is something to satisfy every palate.

My culinary adventure began with a selection of banchan from the Korean section and delectable dumplings from the Chinese menu. A comforting bowl of Nido soup set the tone for the evening, while the freshly steamed dumplings captivated my taste buds with their locked-in flavors.

For those with a penchant for spice, the Asian dishes delivered a delightful kick, with perfectly cooked shrimp and impeccably seasoned kebabs among the highlights.

Venturing further, I discovered a European spread featuring pasta adorned with three mouthwatering sauces, alongside succulent roast pork belly and duck, expertly carved by a friendly attendant.

As I savored the diverse offerings, I was reminded not to overlook the sushi and sashimi selection, as well as the irresistible dessert station, boasting treats ranging from classic bread pudding with vanilla sauce to indulgent cracked chocolates and delicate cookies.
