mom treated me on Mother's Day

hehe as it is customary that children should treat their moms on Mother's Day, she's the one who treated me for dinner.

my mom and i were really close friends. we go to the accessible malls when we have time. and after hearing mass in Ali Mall in Cubao, we decided to get dinner at Sbarro's. we ordered pasta and an Angus Steak quiche. sorry i didn't have any photos because we ate them right away -- talk about hungry.

we talked the whole moment almost everything. we also talked about how people stare at us wandering about our orders. haha. then for dessert, we got into the nearest DQ and ordered sundaes. mine was caramel and hers was strawberry.

when we go out, we always go to department stores, eat cheap or go to the movies. and when we find something interesting, we imagine how it will be placed in our good home.

to all mothers out there, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY.

101 WAYS TO COOK OYSTER at Marina

thanks to Marina Seafood Restaurant for inviting us to see the different ways to cook oyster. all i know is that you can have oyster fresh or in sauce style. but Marina offers more!

below arebaked oyster in cheese, fresh chilled oysters, fried oysters.

below is kinilaw na talaba (oyster cooked in vinegar)
Marina Seafood Restaurant has been known famous due to its oyster servings but it also provides more Filipino dishes especially Ilonggo dishes since it's origins are from Iloilo.

mokke at the Mushroomburger

we went out to try the Katipunan branch of the Tagaytay-famous MUSHROOMBURGER. the no-meat burger with the same sumptuous taste. i can still remember my first visit in the original branch and enjoy feasting on the burger while looking over at the Taal Volcano; also relaxing on the chilly breeze of Tagaytay.

here in Mushroomburger, again there's no meat. i ordered Royal Burger for Php 95.00 for a value meal and it has these layers: a bun, mushroom omelette, lettuce, cheese, mushroom patty, and then the sauce. looking like a quarter-pound burger, it's already filling.

the newest Mushroom burger sits in front of Ateneo De Manila University.

Restaurant Review: MOOMBA

we had this meeting for an event i am organizing. since it was for lunch, i looked into the directory and found this MOOMBA BAR and RESTO.

at the corner of Mother Ignacia st. and Chino Roces Ave in Quezon City, MOOMBA sits on an accessible landmark. though lunch time is a dull time for the place, you will be rewarded with great ambiance and food that is ok on the budget.

interiors are very relaxing and not that glarey bar setting. rattan seats and cushions felt like it was more than a fine dining restaurant. rustic looks give good points from me.
